Weather Dashboard
This app allows the user to find the current weather and a 5-day forcast of most cities. The search history is saved to local storage so the user can just click on previously searched cities. Go to the repo
Work Day Scheduler
This app allows users to schedule tasks for the current work day. The tasks are saved to local storage so the user can close the browser and reopen it to see the tasks. The work hours can be inserted or deleted to accomodate for earlier or later beginning and end times. Go to the repo
About Me
I am ready for my next challenge. On my way to a B.S. in Mathematics at Western Washington University, I took 6 programming classes and 3 web design classes. I earned my Master’s degree with teacher certification from Western Govenor’s University and am certified to teach Math, Social Studies and Art in Washington State.
I have taught math for 14 years, three of which I designed and maintained the school’s web site. I taught myself PHP, jQuery and mySQL to make the site scaleable, dynamic and visually appealing.
As a teacher, I enjoy writing code leveraging Google’s API to automate repetitive tasks. I build community, a culture of collaboration and mentor students and coworkers.
I enrolled in University of Washington’s Coding Bootcamp in search of personal and professional growth. I want to solve impossible problems, develop symbiotic relationships and write concise, well organized code to create a stunning product.
